Ken Heer - Secretary of Corporation

Ken was born and raised in Kansas.  He has been married 48 years and has three children.  He graduated from Washburn University in 1965 with degrees in Business Administration and Economics.  He graduated from Washburn University School of Law in 1968 with a Juris Doctor Degree. He has practiced law for over 40 years.  He was several years in private practice.  Served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Kansas, a prosecutor and county attorney for Kingman County Kansas.  Ken was with the Farm Credit Banks of Wichita and served as Assistant General Counsel, Vice President, Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, Secretary to the Board.  He spent several years in Kansas City Mo with Midland Loan Services overseeing a portfolio of assets of 700 Million Dollars and supervising outside counsel.  He also spent a short stent as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Lenexa, Kansas.  He has served on the Board of Directors of several profit and nonprofit corporations. He is currently retired and lives in Colorado Springs with his wife and a daughter.

Ken came to the Lord at the age of 14 and he and his wife have served, the Lord in various capacities.  Some have been leaders of children’s ministries, youth ministries, and various positions in education, members of senior counsels, elders and in compassion ministries.  He and his wife traveled for about 1 ½ years in a Prophetic ministry with an Apostle.  They have taught preached and ministered throughout their time in the Lord.  They are currently on the Executive Counsel of The Table, a church in Colorado Springs.

Mark and Cindy Schilling - Treasurer of Corporation

Cindy grew up in southern California while Mark was raised north of Seattle, Washington. Our paths crossed at Master’s College in the Los Angeles area, and we married in 1984. A whirlwind tour of the country ensued while developing our careers as software engineers. We lived in San Diego, CA, Syracuse, NY, Huntsville, AL, Kirkland, WA, and finally Fort Collins, CO where we have been firmly planted since 1994. We both have Master’s Degrees (Mark: Biology, Cindy: Software Engineering), and Hewlett Packard has been our employer since 1996. We lead active lives and enjoy skiing, biking, hiking, team sports, and all things Colorado!

Our pursuit of knowing God has charted our course through life and bound us together. By His grace, we have weathered many storms and transitioned from a legalistic and tradition-bound spiritual world view to one that embraces radically loving Jesus and advancing His Kingdom. As we have walked with Him closely, learning to know and trust God, our response has been to give Him our lives completely. Now, we live each day to glorify Jesus and participate with Him in establishing His Kingdom in Fort Collins.

Joseph Schmidt - Board Member

Joe Schmidt is the Business Administrator of Freedom Church and Freedom Kingdom Enterprises, a group of non profit entities dedicated to kingdom advancement, based in Colorado Springs.  Graduating from Oral Roberts University in 2007, Joe moved to Colorado Springs to work at Freedom where he met Brett Costigan.  Since meeting the Costigan's, Joe has had a deep connection with the message of Wisdom and with the vision of Wisdom's House.  Joe and his wife Katelyn are both dedicated to seeing Colorado Springs become a city on a hill, and a city that prospers.
